Chantal Chappert was a farmer for many years. She developed a very special relationship with the land, animals and nature in general, which she learned to observe, understand and respect.

Fascinated by the diversity of the animal world yet aware of its vulnerability, she now devotes herself to animal sculpture, with a particular fondness for slab modeling. Each slab is shaped with textures and imprints and assembled to create the shells and armour that envelop her creations, as if to remind us of the fragility of the animal world and the need to protect it

Her work has been selected and exhibited at prestigious art fairs in France, notably the Salon des Artistes Français (Art Capital, Grand Palais in Paris) and the “Salon National des Artistes Animaliers”in Bry-sur-Marne.

“Through my sculptures, I wish to raise awareness of the importance of protecting and respecting all animals, honouring their preciousness and beauty, and recognising their essential place in our world”
