Véronique Gerbaud-Lambert was born in 1958 in Garches. She studied at the “École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré”. She now lives and works in a small village in the Aveyron region.
She paints ephemeral visions of paradise, where colour is subtly revealed with delicate, transparent touches. Her landscapes, inspired by dreams and distant tales, blend elements of mystery and poetry, creates a fascinating and suspended world.
From our ancient readings with uncertain memories, or from the recollection of our numb dreams, sometimes arise misty landscapes with magical mists, a world where the Wuthering Heights rubs shoulders and mingles with the mountains of Japanese tales. In this vague and mysterious in-between, the landscapes of Véronique Gerbaud Lambert take shape. Ephemeral visions of imaginary or lost paradises. A fertile nature that we imagine to be green but which never fully reveals itself, where colour itself is offered sparingly, in flashes, but without exuberance.
Trees and flowers emerge from the haze of the distance like small, unexpected fireworks. Small touches of colour, as delicate as porcelain, almost transparent, are enough for Véronique Gerbaud Lambert to transport us into this suspended imagination.
